I'm Baaaaaaaack!!

Good Day, compadres.

Ok, so I'm the only person reading this. No prob. You'll be here eventually.

Why am I back, and where did I go?

I went to the place people go when they could care less about blogging, and I'm back because I realized I was spending an inordinate amount of time on espn.com message boards, trying to convince a bunch of knuckleheads that I was right about things I was obviously right about.

My arguments were strong, but the list of commenters was long.

Things kept getting pushed down to the bottom, I had to repeat myself all the time, and where was the love??? Here I am basically handing espn my god-given talent to be a good read, annoyingly accurate, sometimes intelligently humorous, and relatively grammatically correct--for free!

(smashes head against desk)

No more, I say!

Oh yeah, I can also admit when I'm wrong (see above Hakim Warrick post for substantiation). What the hell was I thinking?

So on with the show. I'll be back here as my work schedule allows... currently I'm thinking about putting together a compilation of my espn.com posts on JC Romero. I wasted a good, hmmm, 1-2 hours on that yesterday, so it should be good for an introductory 'column', if you can call it that.

And folks: feel free to reply, comment, or otherwise trash the place. I got no issues with that. And who knows, maybe every once in a while the monkey will talk back!

Till then...

Stay classy, San Diego.

Hakim Warrick

Ok somebody tell me how it is that Hak isnt gonna be a star. How did he drop so far in the draft?

I mean, its not like he was hiding in Syracuse... I mean it wasnt just Mello that won that championship, and then he carried that team on his back. Very few teams wont be sorry they didnt pick up this cat. I mean, he blocks three pointers-look at the picture.

Look, Im a knicks fan all the (except for the keith van horn era) way and I sincerely hope Channing Frye develops but... this was our guy right here.

Anyway, I will follow him in the league just like Mello before him and I am expecting to see a Marcus Camby Jr. minus the injuries and plus a little j that hes been working on.

Prove me wrong anybody that reads this blog... Yeah, right.

My Prediction:13 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks OR MORE as a rookie, blasts off in the rookie game, and watch him grow from there.

Check my math at http://aol.nba.com/playerfile/hakim_warrick/index.html and then come back and tell me how right I am or how much righter than I thought I would be I am. Either or.
